Henry M. Malburg Funeral HomeSandra “Sandy” Johnson passed away peaceful at her home on January 15, 2026 at the age of 67. She was surrounded by the love and comfort of her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband Rick of nearly 40 years. Her memory will be cherished by her brothers, Robert (Teri) and Daniel (Sue) Walilko as well as her brother-in-law Todd (Dawn) Johnson. She will forever be remembered by her nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Sandy is leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and deep appreciation for life’s simple joys. She loved tending to her garden. Her vibrant garden was a cherished space that she enjoyed nurturing year after year. With her husband, she enjoyed countless camping trips and vacations throughout the United States. She was very passionate advocate for animal adoption. She believed every animal deserved a loving home and gave her heart generously to that cause. Sandy shared a particularly close bond with her beloved cat Winston, who was her constant companion.
On the weekends, Sandy enjoyed watching NASCAR. She always looked forward to rooting on her favorite driver, Kyle Larson. She followed his career with great enthusiasm and cheered him on from the sidelines. Above all her greatest love was her family. Spending time together whether through everyday moments or special gatherings meant everything to her. Her warmth and loving presence will be deeply missed.
Sandy will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, her love of family, and the quiet but meaningful ways she made the world around her better. She will be missed beyond what any words can express but will continue to live in our hearts of those that loved her. May God hold her in His arms and say “Welcome to Paradise”.
