Sandra "Sandy" L Meyer, 81, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026 at Bellin Health Hospital.
She was born on October 10, 1944 to Winston and Emma (Stroobants) Nys in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In Sandy's younger days she loved playing softball. She loved spending time with family playing 31, Phase 10 for pennies and Left, Right, Center. Sandy loved taking random road trips, meandering and finding happy accidents along the way. She truly enjoyed the little things in life.
Sandy worked as a presser in the dry cleaning business until she retired at age 79.
Sandy is survived by her loving son, Jody Meyer; her best friend, Sue Lax; best friend Kayla; and "grandson" Liam; her sister in law, Deb Nys; nephews, Jeff Bangert and Drew (Jenny) Nys; her nieces, Kris (Gary) Pezon and Michelle (Dan) Johnson. Sandy is further survived by her great nieces and nephews, a great-great niece and two great-great nephews, as well as many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fr Loren Nys, Dennis Nys, and Dane Nys; her sister and brother in law, Sharon and Joe Bangert, and her great nephew, Jake Pezon. Sandy was also preceded in death by her beloved puppies, Ginger and Schatze.
A Celebration of Sandy's life will be held at a later date.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Bellin Hospital and the Home Health Care nurses who were there for Sandy!!
The care and compassion they showed for her during her many stays did not go unnoticed. You all know who you are!!
