Sandra Jean Saunders Greene

Obituary Sandra "Jean" Saunders Greene was born January 1, 1945, in Danville, Virginia, to the proud parents of Jimmy Lee Saunders and Dorothy Farmer. After high school, she worked for the City and State of New York for over 40 years in several administrative roles.
Sandra was a very key member of Carter Community A.M.E. Church in Jamaica, New York. She proudly served on the Willing Workers Ministry, Lay Ministry, and assisted other organizations and ministries within the church.
Sandra married the late Bobby Greene in 1978. They had two children, Michael Greene, who preceded her in death, and Nicole Greene-Markland of Delaware.
On Thursday, August 14, 2025, Sandra Greene departed her life to be with her heavenly Father.
In addition to her son, Michael Grene, Sandra was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Bobby Greene, and her sisters, Rebecca Graves and Katie-Mae.
Sandra leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Nicole (Felton, Delaware), and brother, William Saunders (Houston, Texas). In addition, she leaves behind her child, grandchildren, and brother, as well as a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Sandra touched many people with her happy life of service to others. She was loved by many and will live in our memories forever.
