Sandra "Sandy" Claire Schleh, age 86, of Grand Rapids, MN, formerly of Jacobson, MN passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at her home.

Sandy was born in 1938 to Axel and Myrtle Engebretson in Mentor, MN where she grew up and graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to Andrew "Andy" Schleh in St. Paul, MN on October 26, 1957. Sandy and Andy moved to the Jacobson area in 1976, where many friendships were formed with the local community. Sandy worked as the librarian for the Hill City School District. She was a member of Carmel Lutheran Church where she served as treasurer and sang in the choir. Sandy was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved music, polka dancing, crossword puzzles, making rugs out of old jeans, and embroidery.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andy; son, Randall; her siblings, Harvey, June, Chet, Allen, Vernor, Burton and Everett Engebretson, and Arlene Kubic.

She is survived by daughter, Candace (George) Kalfas; daughter in law, Deborah Schleh (Charles Varacka); granddaughters, Brittany (Andy) Hein, Ashley (Ehren) Berge, Amber Kalfas, and Sage Amiot; grandson, Brett Varacka; great grandchildren, Bentley, Rowan, and Gracelynn; and many nieces and nephews

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM at Carmel Lutheran Church, Ball Bluff Township near Jacobson, MN with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM at the church. Pastor Steve Teff will officiate. Burial will be at Ball Bluff Cemetery, Ball Bluff Township, MN

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Carmel Lutheran Church.
