Sandra Sibole Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Cremation Society of Iowa - Des Moines on Apr. 21, 2023.
Sandra Sibole passed on April 1st, she lived a long and mostly happy life. She was born January 8th, 1942 to Archie and Treva Waugh. She had 9 siblings; Robert Dean Waugh, Wanda Ferguson (Waugh), Doyle Waugh, Jim Waugh, Dwight Waugh, Dale Waugh, Lyle Waugh, Marilyn Waugh-(Evans). She married Eugene Sibole in 1961 and inherited 3 more sisters Phyllis Frost(Sibole), Delores Hayes(Sibole), Marlene Waugh (Sibole), and in-laws; Clifford and Opal Sibole, Lyle Hayes, Oral Frost, Dill Ferguson, Janis Waugh, Mary Lou Waugh, Emily Waugh, and Lorene Waugh.
Sandra and Eugene had 2 children Ricky Sibole, and Candice Stephen (Sibole); 2 grandchildren Tristan and Miranda Stephen; and 1 son in-law Nathan Stephen. She had so much love to give, between the neighborhood kids and nieces and nephews, and all the kids she babysat for, she felt and made everyone feel like family. Their house was always full of laughter and smiles.
In her youth she played the clarinet in the marching band, and enjoyed square dancing with Gene, and sister Marilyn, they were also on a bowling league, with brother Lyle and Marlene Waugh, and friends Eleanor and Leonard Reha.
Sandra was home room mother for her children, thats where she met her best friend Eleanor Reha, she liked to do pottery, and going to the kids ball games
Her and Gene loved to travel and made sure to share that love with friends and family. They would pick Eleanor up in the mornings and you never knew where the three of them would end up they traveled to every county in Iowa once for no reason, just had nothing else to do that day, and I'm sure probably everybody has been with them to jester park to see the buffalo.
There's not a person who knew Sandra that didn't feel blessed to have known her.
Sandra will be laid to rest next to her husband Eugene at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
