Sandra Virginia Smith, 76, of Oakland, died on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Columbia, SC. Born on May 16, 1948, in Clarksburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Junior Martin and Marjorie Ruth (Kesling) Fox.

She was a 1966 graduate of Washington Irving High School in Clarksburg. Sandra enjoyed employment with the Garrett County Public Schools for 37 years, during which she shared her talents as the Southern High School Cheerleading Coach, Teacher's Assistant, Attendance Officer, and Senior Class Advisor. She also volunteered her time with the Loar Auxiliary Gift Shop at Garrett Regional Medical Center. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the movies, going on cruises and to Walt Disney World. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Smith and wife Shawn, and Tommy Smith and wife Jodi, all of Oakland; a daughter in law, Kerri Smith Ashby of SC; nine grandchildren, Melinda Smith-Pritt and husband Brandon of Oakland, Laura Frey and husband Brandon of WV, Ryan Gordon and wife Brittany of SC, Amber Gordon and partner Mark of WV, Ashley Johnson of Oakland, Megan Weber and husband Logan of WV, Anthony Smith and partner Raegan of WV, Lindsey Smith and partner Joshua of SC, and Tori Smith and partner Kai of VA; eight great grandchildren, Raelynn Smith-Pritt, McKinley Smith-Pritt, Wyatt Frey, Evelynn Frey, Maya Gordon, Emma Yatulchik, Will Johnson, and Reese Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Larry N. Smith, in 2018; a son, Jeremy G. "Jamie" Smith; guardians by whom she was raised, Uncle Red and Aunt Lucille Kesling; and a grandson in law, Cody Johnson.

Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM and on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 11 AM to 12 PM. A funeral service will be held at noon with Pastor Mark Weeks officiating. Interment will be in the Bray Cemetery.
