Sandra Kay Spencer

Sandra Kay Spencer, 78, of Bartlesville, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Sandra was born March 12, 1947, in Phillips, Texas, to Frederick E. and Freda L. (Armstrong) King. She graduated from Atwater (California) High School in 1965. Shortly after graduating, she moved with her family to Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, and worked as a secretary on base. She also took college classes on base at the University of Maryland. In 1967, the family moved back to Castle Air Force Base in Atwater.

Sandra started her banking career at Lloyd's Bank in Arcadia, California, before moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, in 1977, to live near her parents. She went to work as a teller at Union Bank and then Phillips Petroleum for five years. While working at the bank, she met and married the love of her life, William Spencer, on March 10, 1979. They enjoyed 46 wonderful years together. Sandra later decided to be a full-time stay-at-home mom.

In addition to spending time with her family, she loved to sew, crochet, quilt, bake and decorate cakes. She served as treasurer for the OSU Extension Office. Sandra was a huge University of Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys football fan and loved watching them play. "Hook 'Em Horns!"

Sandra is survived by her beloved husband, William Spencer; son, Capt Christopher Drew, USAF (ret.); two stepdaughters, Catherine Jolana "Jodi" Spencer, and Kara Spencer-Larimore; three sisters, Terri Magerkurth, Donna Bennett and her husband James, and Pamela McMillan; three grandchildren, Lilly Larimore, Leo Larimore, and Kailynn Larimore; and a special cousin, Patricia Grimm; and numerous other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson, William Jeffrey Spencer and his wife Brandy; and two sons-in-law, Jesse Larimore and Rick Helms.

Visitation will be held from 12-8 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel, 4201 Nowata Road, Bartlesville, OK 74006, 918-333-7665.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel with Reverend Dr. Brian Mangan officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville. Services are under the direction of Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory.
