Sandra Stamm Obituary
She was born on November 4, 1950 in Augusta to her parents, the late Roy and Blanche (née Waits) McElfresh. Prior to retirement, she served a great number of our country's heroes, having worked for nineteen years as a Nurse's Aide for the Veterans' Home in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. She was a member of the Augusta Presbyterian Church.
Surviving her are son, John Steele, III, and her daughter, Tina McNamara; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Joe McElfresh; her sisters, Ruth Preston and Rosemary Browning; and her grandson, Dylan McNamara.
The funeral for Sandra will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home in Augusta.
Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Bladeston, Kentucky.
Visitation will also be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Memorials are suggested to Bracken County Cancer Support, P.O. Box 417, Brooksville, Kentucky, 41004.
