Sandra Charlene Ward Spurlock, a cherished mother, grandmother, and sister, left this world on February 3, 2026, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville, Kentucky. She was born on May 24, 1940, in Wichita, Kansas, and her vibrant spirit touched everyone she encountered throughout her journey on this earth.
Sandra was an extraordinary woman with a love for life that radiated brightly. Those who knew her will remember her as a personable soul with an infectious smile and a heart full of warmth. She had a myriad of interests; she found joy in watching television and exploring the vast realms of her computer. An avid shopper, Sandra took great pleasure in hunting for treasures at yard sales, always excited to find that perfect item that would bring her joy or serve as a thoughtful gift for a loved one.
But above all, it was the time spent with her family that brought Sandra the most happiness. She dedicated herself to her loved ones, creating memories that will endure through the generations she nurtured. Her legacy of love lives on through her son, Wayne Scheffler (Kim) of Augusta, Kentucky, and her daughter, Kristin Hunt (Donnie) of Hillsboro, Kentucky. She was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren and a remarkable great-grandmother to 4 great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her unwavering affection and boundless support. She also has one sister Carolyn.
Sandra reunites with her beloved husband Ray Spurlock, and her parents, Leander Ward and Juanita Moore Ward, who will welcome her into their arms once again.
No services will be conducted.
