I´ll never forget the day when Sandy called me letting me know that I had gotten an NFB scholarship. It was my birthday (March 31, 2023) and I was taking care of my little brother for a bit while my parents ran some errands. I was sitting at our kitchen table when i suddenly get a call from Sandy. When she told me that i was one of the recipients receiving the scholarship I was so incredibly excited. I had to go into another room where my little brother couldn´t see me because I was starting to cry tears of joy. Thank you Sandy for making that day so special for me and my family. Not only we´re celebrating my birthday but a huge part milestone as well. We will always remember you Sandy!
