Sandra Sue Norris Stroud, age 74, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, North Carolina.

Born on October 31, 1950, in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Ronnie and Lillie Norris. Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman Stroud; her brothers, Johnny Norris and Thomas Norris; and her sisters, Clara Mae Hill, Grace Lee, Virginia Braswell, Alice Turner, Louise Minshew, Helen Beaudet, Jean Gravelle, and Gertrude Narron.

Sandra is survived by her loving son, Shane Norris and his fiancée, Valerie; her sister, Judy Norris Farnall; and her brothers, Larry Norris (Linda), James Norris, David Norris, Jerry Norris (Sandra), Bill Norris (Jewell), and Alan Lane Norris (Kathy). She also leaves behind her cherished feline companion, China.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, October 1, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., also at Parrish Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Price Cemetery.

Sandra will be remembered for her gentle spirit and deep love for family. She never knew a stranger and loved our Lord and Savior with all her heart. She also enjoyed the comfort of her cat, China.
