It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Sandra Lee (Kelly) Temple, who left us on September 24, 2025, at the age of 77. Affectionately known as Sandy to her family and friends, she was born on May 20, 1948, in Illinois. She was raised by her mother, Dolores Burner, and stepfather, Bill Burner. Growing up in a Navy family, Sandy spent her early years in a variety of locations before settling in Maryland during her teenage years. In the mid-1980s, she relocated to Florida, where she made her home.

Sandy met Kevin while umpiring a baseball game-an introduction that reflected her lifelong love of the sport. Baseball was a family passion for her; she fondly remembered attending Washington Senators games in her teens in Washington, D.C. and later became a devoted Baltimore Orioles fan during her years in Maryland.

In Florida, Sandy ran a successful print shop before returning to school later in life to earn a degree in education. Teaching was one of her greatest passions. With her deep love of books and learning, she went on to become a school media specialist, a role that allowed her to combine her talents and inspire countless students.

Sandy is survived by her devoted partner, Kevin Reagan; her sisters, Nancy Hood, Susan Urbanek, Kris Krake, and Lori Hill; and was predeceased by her sister, Stephanie Traube. She also leaves behind her beloved sons, Jay (Emily) and Matthew (Tawny); her cherished grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In honor of Sandy's generous spirit and lifelong love of education, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Florida Education Association in lieu of flowers.

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day."
