Sandra Thomas Obituary
Sandra has always been a hard worker and a go getter, Sandra always believed that God and Family should always be first and to make as many memories as possible before we are called home. Sandra has the biggest heart that made it easy for her to share with everyone, and her smile is warm and welcoming and her kindness makes it easy to understand that everything will be okay. Sandra will be missed dearly by all who she loved endlessly.
Mom, you are the most beautiful memory I will keep locked inside my heart forever until we meet again, I love you!
Sandra is survived by her daughter Debra Schondel and husband Ken of Talala; stepson mark. Sandra has 5 grandchildren; Joshua Schondel, Derick and Heather Schondel, Christopher Schondel, Sarah and Chris Nordbye and Tonya Schondel
Sandra has 11 great grandchildren, Bryson, Davin, Cadyn, Ryker, Savannah, Hunter, River, Briar, Madison, Garrett, Oakley.
4 sisters, Rose, Sue, Vickie, and Sherry; 5 brothers, Dean, Terry, Gary, Mike (Cathy)and Jimmy Howard and brother-in-law Larry Thomas and a host of family and friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Tressie Howard; husband James Thomas; Grandson Christopher, brothers Steve and Todd, nephew Kyle, niece Kelly, stepdaughter Kelly.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel.

Sandy beautiful smile. Sandy had a wonderful heart for everyone. She did some beautiful ceramics, I never forget the beautiful farm canisters she made me for first Christmas. She had her own ceramic shop , she taught a lot of us how to make beautiful things. Sandy was always the most caring, loving mother, grandmother, sister , sister n law. There was a time when none would put there hearts in to help mike and I with a vehicle, but out of all Sandy was the one that was there for us, even though she didn´t live in Indiana she is the one who blessed us with a vehicle. Sandy will always be remembered by me and my husband Mike.

My first memory of Aunt Sandy is her dropping me off and picking me up from school. As we drove, we would listen to Elvis Presley's Christmas album, even if it was the middle of the summer, that was our jam. If you were wrong, she would let you know it but she said it so lovingly that you actually listened. She made sure I knew how much she loved me always. She always wanted the family together and she will forever live in my heart. I love you so much Aunt Sandy.
