Sandra Kaye Thomason

Sandra Kaye (Wiles) Thomason, 82, of Bone Gap, IL passed away on February 13, 2025 in Olney, IL.
Sandy was born in Ellery, IL on August 26, 1942, the youngest of Ivan and Edith Wiles seven children. The family, Ivan and Edith, along with the children still living at home, moved to Bone Gap, IL in 1952.
Sandy married William "Bill" Schaefer Thomason on February 26, 1960 and made their home on the farm in Bone Gap. They had two children Paula Thomason Yaws and Bruce Thomason. God graciously gifted them with a bonus daughter, Sarah Fisher Case.
Sandy was a member of the Bone Gap Christian Church. She worked at Champion Laboratories for 33 years, from 1972 to 2005. Sandy was a people person, she never met a stranger. Faith, family, friends and FUN, with an abundance of love for one another, bundled up with some mischief was how Sandy was! She loved traveling, family time, friends get togethers, and playing cards and games. She found great joy in children.
Sandy is survived by her children, Paula Thomason Yaws of FL, Bruce Thomason of Albion, IL, and Sarah (Karson) Case of Bone Gap, IL; three grandchildren, Katie (Bryse) Yaws, Ashley (Laramey) Wiseman, and Joshua (Katie) Case; eleven great grandchildren: Hudson Densmore of FL, MaKenna, Clayton, Hallie, Jack, Sarah and Everett Case of West Salem, IL, and Lane, Case and Gage Wiseman of Albion, IL and one great grandbaby on the way.
Preceding Sandy in death was her parents; her husband Bill; son-in-law Don Yaws; all of her siblings: Mary Louise Smith, Norma Shoaff, Duane Wiles, Paul Wiles, Marlene Blake and Carl Wiles.
Services For Sandra Kaye Thomason will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 with a visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in Albion, IL. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bone Gap Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials in the name of Sandra Kaye Thomason may be made to the Albion Senior Citizens Center.
