Sandra Gayle Thompson, 69, of Odessa, Texas, passed away Friday September 27, 2023, with her family by her side.
Sandra was born to the late John and Lajuanda Collins, September 15, 1954, in Iraan, Texas. She is survived by her son, Michael Lee Thompson, and his wife Christina Thompson; her grandchildren Devin, Matthew, and Mason Thompson. Her sisters, Sherry Nicks, and Linda Vogle.
She is preceded in death by her father John Collins, mother Lajuanda Collins, brothers Tony and Gary Collins and sister Brenda Collins Martin.
She married twice in her life to Danny Collier and Mikey Thompson. She worked in the cash office at Walmart for many years where she then transitioned her career to retail at Marshalls. Sandra worked hard to provide for her family as she was a loving and caring soul. She would always lend a helping hand to those she loved and made sure that members of her family were always taken care of. Sandra was dedicated to raising her son, Michael, and instilling the value of hard work and always doing his best to be successful in life. She was immensely proud of him and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Sandra spent the past few years catching up with her sisters and watching football and golf with her son.
A Family Gathering has been set for Friday October 6, 2023 from 11:00AM - 3:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.
