Sandra Tinnermeier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pence-Reese Funeral Home and Cremation Services from Dec. 12 to Dec. 24, 2025.
Sandra Sue Tinnermeier, the daughter of Elvin and LaVera Eaton was born March 29, 1950, in Newton, Iowa. She was a proud graduate of Newton Senior High School, Class of 1968.

Sandi was known by all who met her as a very friendly, joyful, and practical lady who found happiness in caring for others. She was a lifelong member of the Newton Foursquare Church, where she faithfully served for many years as church secretary, offering her time, organization, and warm spirit to her church family.

Sandi had a true gift in the kitchen and was a wonderful cook. One of her greatest joys was making homemade ice cream, a treat she loved sharing with her family-and even with her beloved dog, Sophie.

Sandi died on December 11, 2025 at her home in Christiansburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Wayne Eaton and Marvin Eaton, Sr.

Sandi is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Klingston and Jolinda (David) Linkous; her six grandchildren and their spouses, Dalton (Carrie) Klingston, Jacob (Ashley) O'Dell, Spencer (Lauren) Linkous, Matthew O'Dell, Addison Linkous, and Elijah Linkous; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Bryson, Mackynzi, Lakelyn, Koltyn, Emmersen, and Luke; and her sister-in-law, Connie Eaton. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the numerous caregivers who provided compassion, kindness, and support to Sandra during her final years.

Sandra's legacy of love, service, and simple joys will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Newton Foursquare Church. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be designated to the Newton Foursquare Church and may be left at the church or at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home.
