that loved deeply. Sandra was the kind of person you never had to guess about. She spoke her
mind, stood firm in her values, and carried the strength instilled in her by her parents, JoAnn
Cassady and James Vickers, who preceded her in death.
Tough as nails and free-spirited to the core, she was proudly non-traditional and never tried to be anything other than herself. She loved animals, especially her dog Bentley, and found peace sitting outside watching birds. A longtime truck driver for Crowder, Sandra was independent, hardworking, and resilient. She loved telling stories, enjoying a good hotdog, and living life without pretense.
Above all else, Sandra loved her family-especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Amanda Barineau and son-in-law Patrick Barineau, and her grandchildren Landon and Carson Barineau, who brought her immense joy and pride. She is also survived by her sister Pam Jones and brother-in-law Gary Jones, and her brother Ronald Vickers and sister-in-law Shirley Vickers as well as a numerous of Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Sandra will be remembered for her honesty, her grit, her love for her family, and the way she lived authentically-without compromise. Today, those who loved her find comfort in knowing that she is in heaven, riding her horses alongside her parents, free, strong, and at peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 31, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., for
friends and family at 2668 South Hannon Hill Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32309.
In true Sandra fashion, come as you are, share stories, laugh, remember, and honor a woman who lived life her way.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Leon County Humane Society.
