Sandra Lee Welch, 75, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday January 14, 2026, at The Villages of Midtown Oaks. She was born on March 6, 1950, daughter of the late Herman and Janet (Vipond) Price. Sandra married Clyde L. “Pete” Welch on November 16, 1968, and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2021. Surviving are two daughters; Cherie Wise (Bruce) and Melissa Zimmerman (Gordon) of Altoona; grandchildren: Leah Snyder (David), Gordon Zimmerman, Jacob Zimmerman (Ashley), Garrett Wise fiancé’ Francesca Orr, Allison Heyer (Bryce); great- grandchildren: Madyson, Marina, Colton, Gabriel, Levi, Riley; a brother Randy Price, and an uncle, Donnie Kling. Sandra was 1968 graduate of Altoona Area High School. She enjoyed crocheting, drawing, doing crafts with her grandkids, gardening, and taking care of everyone else. A special thanks to the staff at the Villages at Midtown Oaks. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday February 21, 2026, from noon until 4 p.m. at the Homers Gap Civic Center.
