Sandra M. Weldon

Sandra Marie Weldon, born June 11, 1941, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

To know Sandra was to love her. She shared a beautiful love story with her devoted husband of 66 years, Edmund James Weldon. The two met as young sweethearts on the streets of Dorchester and built a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Together, they raised five children and created a family bond that was admired and respected by all who knew them.

Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Michael and Patrick Weldon and grandson Mikey. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Kelly Socha, Kathleen McCarthy, and Kerrie Shea; her sons-in-law, John McCarthy and Darren Shea; and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

She found happiness in life's simple pleasures, including reading, crafting, shopping, and, above all, spending time with her family.

Sandra faced many challenges throughout her life, including health struggles and the profound heartbreak of losing two children and a grandchild. Yet, she carried herself with remarkable strength, resilience, and grace, never complaining. Her strong sense of humor and the enduring love she shared with her husband helped her through life's hardships.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved sons, grandson and many others who have gone before her.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 10:00 at St. Joseph Church, 272 Main St, Kingston. A graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Plympton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandra's memory to the Joslin Diabetes Center
