Sandra J. Williams, 70 of Pine Bluff, Arkansas transitioned from Labor to Reward on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center - Pine Bluff. Sandra was born in Sherrill, Arkansas, to the late Deacon Z.T. Williams and Mother Bernice Webb Williams. From an early age, she was nurtured in faith, family, and a love for education-values that guided her every step and became the legacy she passed down to all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Altheimer High School, Sandra began her journey in education with the Waldo School District. After three years of dedicated service there, she accepted a calling that would define her life's work-forty years in the Watson Chapel School District. She began as an elementary special education instructor, pouring into young minds with patience and care. Never content to stop growing, Sandra returned to school to earn her master's degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She later rose into leadership, serving as assistant principal at both Watson Chapel Junior High and Watson Chapel High School before becoming lead principal at L.L. Owen Elementary. Her career reflected not only her skill as an educator but also her deep belief that every child deserved compassion, opportunity, and excellence.
Outside the classroom, Sandra was the heart of her family. Her grandson, Zack-affectionately called "Z"-was the apple of her eye. There was no mountain she would not move to ensure he knew love, guidance, and the power of faith. In more recent years, her joy was multiplied when she became "GiGi" to her handsome _Baby Love_, Josiah. The bond she shared with her great-grandson was filled with laughter, affection, and prayers for his future, and her face lit up whenever he was near.
Her greatest joy came from instilling in her daughter, grandson, and great-grandson the values of trusting the Lord, speaking life, and
believing in God's promises. Sandra often reminded them, "We have life in our tongues to manifest God's goodness."
Sandra's faith was unwavering. A devoted member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, she served faithfully on the Mother's Board, supported the Mission Ministry, and helped in any capacity where she was needed. Her quiet strength, graceful presence, and Christ-centered heart left an indelible mark on her church family and community.
In her retirement, Sandra found joy in the simple pleasures-spending time with loved ones, enjoying reruns of The Golden Girls, The Andy Griffith Show, The Cosby Show, and tuning in to VTN. She looked forward to her regular talks with her dear friends Louise and Rose, conversations that brought her comfort, laughter, and companionship. She often laughed about her freedom from cooking duties, but she never stopped feeding her family with wisdom, encouragement, and love.
Sandra's life was a testimony of grace, elegance, and perseverance. She carried herself with dignity, spoke with purpose, and lived with
integrity. Though her words were few, they carried the weight of wisdom and faith that touched countless lives.
She is preceded by death her devoted parents: Deacon Z.T. Williams Sr. & Mother Bernice Webb Williams brothers: Abraham 'Abe' & Z. T. Jr. (June) Williams.
Her cherished legacy lives on through her daughter La'Toya Dismuke (Jimmy), her favorite grandson Zachariah King (Liv) to whom she
affectionately called "Z" and great-grand Josiah or "Baby Love" as she often called him. We honor her host of surviving siblings: Joseph 'Elmos Frazier, Benjamin (Anna), Ray (Jackie), Major (Barbara), Stanley (Valerie) brothers: Sandra Williams, Shirley Reed &Charlotte Williams; grandchildren great grand & a host of other family & special friends.
Sandra Jean Williams' legacy is one of faith, education, love, and forgiveness. While she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to shine in the lives she touched.

Thank You, Teachers
Teachers are keys
That unlock the student's mind.
You are guides who mold our mind.
You are one of a kind.
You are like a shepherd
Who guides the sheep
To the right path.
You, teachers, turn the pages
Of the great books.
You train us well
To reach great heights.
Thank you, teachers,
For all you have done.
In the group of many
You are one.
