Sandra Wilsher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary - Dothan on Jan. 13, 2026.
Miss Sandra Denise "Nesa" Wilsher was born March 11, 1969 in Ashford, Alabama to the late John D. Wilsher and Geraldine McCray. On January 11, 2026, God dispatched his angels to Southeast Health in Dothan Alabama to safely return her into His loving arms.

Sandra was a proud graduate of Ashford High School class of 1988. She later pursued her passion for beauty and care by earning a degree in cosmetology from Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama. Her dedication for helping others extended into her professional life as she worked at Extended Care of Dothan, Alabama until her health began to decline.

In her younger years, Sandra joined Saint Joseph Baptist Church in Pansey Alabama. Throughout her life, she was a guiding light and a source of strength during challenging times. Her presence brought comfort, her spirit radiated warmth and her laughter was easy and genuine.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father, John D. Wilsher and sister Albertina McCray (Quelminio) Greene.

She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted mother Geraldine McCray of Dothan, AL ; her sisters Betty McCray, Betty Jo (Stanley) Jackson of Gordon, AL; brother Quelminio Greene of Ashford, AL; her cherished nieces and nephew Tiffani, Alveta, Stannette, Christopher, Tierra and Keera whom she helped nurture with love and care. Her memory lives on through her beloved grand nieces and nephews Jacrriyun, Tywan, Avion, Mare'Keis and Messiah.

She also leaves to cherish her memories; her uncles Joe Lee McCray and Cecil Wright, along with special friends from Extended Care; Doretha Platt, Andrea Parker and Tonya McCall and a host of special cousins, relatives and friends.

She was a loving soul who found joy in the warmth of the day and beauty in life's simplest moments. Embracing life in every way it was given. She soaked the peace around her. Now she is deeply missed in the quiet moments and in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
