Sandra Wolf Obituary
Sandy was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 13 and dealt with the disease the rest of her life. Her doctors believed that her extended life was attributed to her disciplined lifestyle, while she attributed it to her strong Christian faith and her belief in Jesus.
Sandy loved traveling, especially to the coast and Hawaii, camping, and watching the Trail Blazers. Sandy is predeceased by her two infant children (David and Shelly), her parents Al and Betty, and Sister Sharon. She leaves behind her husband of 59 years, Don; her son Steve and his wife Michel; daughter Lisa Cavallero and her husband Lou; grandchildren Louis and his wife Ashley, Liam, Sophia and Sam; Brothers Bruce, Stephen, and Wendell. Sisters Linda and Loretta, and all their respective families.
A memorial service will be held at Hinson Baptist Church on January 17th at 1 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring her memory.

Sandra and I were friendly neighbors from our early teens throughout our long lives. She was the nicest person I ever knew. No matter what the circumstances, she had a kind word, a lovely smile, or a helpful suggestion. I was thrilled when she decided to work helping children to learn to read. Her patience and encouragement were exactly what they needed. Sandy didn't preach about her faith, she lived it in a way that made you want to have the grace you could see she had. For many years she and Don hosted a yearly block party around Labor Day. Those gatherings are what turned "the woman in the brown house" and "the guy with the big dog" into people we all knew and cared about. They were truly the heart of our neighborhood. We've never quite gotten over them having to move to provide Sandra with an easier house to navigate as she aged. Like with all profound loss, we learned to be grateful we had them in the first place. She was a special person and I am deeply glad to have been blessed to know her. As a Christian, I know where she is, but as a friend, I'll be sorry it isn't here for the rest of my life.
