It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Groome Woolard, 70 of Hartfield, VA. Sandy went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Sandy, as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, was born May 7, 1954 to the late Aaron and Rosalee Groome of Highland Springs, VA.
She leaves behind the love of her life, her beloved husband of over 52 years, Dave Woolard, her 3 devoted children, Scott Woolard, Kristee Norwood (Darren), and Sherri McDearmon (Bryan), 9 grandchildren, Dylan, Noah, Maddie, Emma, Landon, Bailey, Abi, Zoe & Cayden, 11 great grandchildren, her loving sisters, Wanda Johnson (Donnie) and Linda Whitlock (Stewart), her nieces, Erin Outlaw and Brandy Johnson, her nephews, Wesley Whitlock & Todd Johnson, her cousin, Patsy Parrish and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sandy was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ and was a member of Salt Church in Hartfield.
To know Sandy was to love her. She was everything to everyone. Her smile lit up every room she walked into. Her sweet spirit and relentless positivity made sure everyone around her felt joy. She loved the beach, boat trips, dancing, summertime, and being anywhere near the water. She was devoted to Jesus, and her unwavering faith guided her through life’s challenges. Her greatest accomplishment was her family, her pride and joy. She loved to be surrounded by family, and her family loved to be by her side always. While our hearts are broken, we find great comfort knowing she is with her Lord and Savior.
The family will be holding a private service.
