Sandra "Sandy" Lee Zetterholm, born October 11, 1942, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026.
Sandy was a gentle and beautiful soul whose life was defined by kindness, warmth, and the relationships she held close. She was born to the late Jean Schwartzberg and Leon Schwartzberg and was preceded in death by the love of her life, Henry; her beloved son, Allan Zetterholm; and her dear sister, Nancy Schwartzberg, with whom she shared a deeply special bond.
Sandy was happiest when she was with people. She loved spending time with friends, especially those at Davis Place and Ledgewood Acres, and she found joy in life's simple pleasures such as playing bingo, scratch-off lottery tickets, and adventures including going to the casino.
Sharing laughter, conversation, and companionship meant everything to her. With a naturally giving heart, Sandy was always ready to help in thoughtful ways.
She took pride in staying active and involved in her community. Sandy participated with the Plainfield Senior Center and was honored to serve as Vice President of the 2025 Davis Place Resident Council, a role she embraced with pride.
Sandy is survived by her loving daughter, Sharon Heather Caron, and son-in-law, Jereme Caron; her cherished grandchildren, Llogan Caron, Paityn Caron, and Frankie Soriano; Frankie's mother, Adrianne Soriano; and her brothers, Barry Schwartzberg and Freddy Schwartzberg.
Sandy will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the comfort of her presence. She chose to surround herself with those who showed her love, loyalty, and compassion, and she returned that love wholeheartedly.
She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
May her memory be a blessing.
