Sandy Collins Brzowski, 70, passed away August 9th, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center after a brief illness. Sandy was born on December 30,1952 in Olney, MD. She was the widow of Kenneth J. Brzowski and the youngest daughter of the late Carl Blaine Collins and Lois Shelton Collins.
Sandy was known and loved by her family and friends for her zest for life, her child-like energy, infectious laugh, and witty sense of humor. She was an avid tennis player and won many awards for her talent. Not only was tennis her passion, but her family as well. Sandy was one of seven children raised in a very tight-knit family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She loved her family very deeply and was a “favorite” among her many nieces and nephews.
Sandy is survived by her beloved daughter Stephanie Lyon (Brian), precious granddaughters Lily and Cassidy, sister Barb Switzer (Dennis), brothers Ronnie Collins (Cherrie), Bruce Collins, and Donnie Collins (Sherry), sisters in law Sandra Collins and Cathy Collins, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Sandy was predeceased by brothers Wayne Collins and Jimmie “Ray” Collins, and sister-in -law Brenda Collins.
To know Sandy was to love her. Her smile, energy, and warm spirit will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
