Sandy Farr Obituary
Sandra Augusta (Hinrickson) Farr was born on March 29, 1963, the daughter of Charles and Marion (Roberts) Hinrickson. She received her education in the Sioux City Community Schools. On October 2, 1978, Sandy married Ronald Lee Farr Sr. in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was employed as a meat inspector with the United States Department of Agriculture. Sandy enjoyed painting and reading.
Sandy passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs at the age of 62 years, eight months and 13 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Farr, Sr.; infant son; sister, Wendy Jeffords.
Sandy is survived by her children: Cora (Derek) Chapman of Harlan, Sara Thies and Tiara Gaul both of Earling and Ronald Farr Jr. of Harlan; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings: Randy, Steve, Margaret and Laurie; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
The family will hold her memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Chapel in Harlan. The family will direct memorials.
