Sandra "Sandy" Kay Reynolds, age 59, of McIntire, IA passed away at her home on December 19, 2024.
Sandy was born September 22, 1965 to Darryl and Cheryl Bowers. Though, if you asked her, Dave and Shirley Keeton were her parents. She graduated from Riceville High school in 1984. Sandy did not have an easy upbringing, but always could be seen with a smile on her face.
On June 6, 1987 she married Tom Reynolds in McIntire. Together they had 2 daughters, Emily in 1989 and Amanda in 1991. She worked many jobs over the years, all hands on with people, as that's where she thrived. At the time of her death, she worked at LSS in Leroy, MN.
Sandy was an amazing wife, mother, grandma and friend. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. She can still be heard saying "I love you to the moon and back." She enjoyed riding motorcycles with Tom and their friends, being out in the sun, planting flowers and putting up flags for every holiday and season.
Sandy was preceded in death by her biological parents, her foster parents Dave and Shirley Keeton, sister Deb Detjens, grandmothers Mildred Caffrey and Emily Bowers, cousin Jimmy Grell and her beloved fur babies Ozzi and Sofi.
She is survived by her husband Tom Reynolds, two daughters Emily Reynolds and Amanda (Jake) Kuehl, three grandchildren: Rhythm, Thylium and Arheya, her sisters and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Schmelzer (formerly Lindstrom) Funeral Home in Riceville from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
