Sandy Varner Obituary
The funeral for Sandy Judy Varner, 60, of McDowell, will be held at 11 a.m. at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell.
The Rev. Lester LaPrade will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Crummett Run Cemetery.
Mr. Varner died September 9, 1994 as the result of a logging accident.
He was born May 6, 1934 in Palo Alto and was a son of the late Charles and Lydia (Losh) Varner.
He was a member of McDowell Presbyterian Church. He was a self-employed logging contractor and an Army Veteran.
Surviving is his wife, Lois Craighead Varner; two daughters, Cathy Puffenbarger of Sugar Grove, WV and Sandra Botkin of Doe Hill; three sons, Glen Varner of Head Waters, Jerry Varner of Monterey and Danny Varner of Sugar Grove, WV; two brothers, Elmo Varner of Head Waters and Jay Varner of Norfolk; and six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to McDowell Presbyterian Church, McDowell, Va. 24458.
