Santa Olivarez, 71, of Uvalde passed away on May 15, 2024, at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 1 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born on February 25, 1953, in Uvalde to Santos (Roman) and Juan M. Martinez, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie Olivarez and husband, Miguel Suarez of Uvalde; sister, Lupe Sevilla and husband, Pedro of Uvalde; brother, Juan R. Martinez and wife, Nora of Uvalde; grandson, Matthew Hector Olivarez of Uvalde; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and nephew, Luis Sevilla.
Pallbearers will be Mattew Olivarez, Juan H. Martinez, Alex Sevilla, Pete Sevilla, Max Sevilla, and Nick Sevilla.
