Obituary
Sara Smoak Gombert, 84, of 400 Webber Road, Spartanburg, died Tuesday morning, December 20, 2022, at White Oak Estates in Spartanburg. Mrs. Gombert was the wife of the late Howard Gombert.
Born in Orangeburg, SC, Mrs. Gombert was the daughter of the late Carl Smoak and Martha Inabinet. She was a graduate of Columbia College, Columbia. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Gombert was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church, Spartanburg for more than fifty years.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheri M. Cannon and husband Brooks of Anderson; sons, Tony Myers of Spartanburg, SC and Todd Myers and wife Diana of San Diego, CA; and five grandchildren, Jessica Mischner and husband Will of Charleston, Cameron Cannon and wife McKayla of Greenville, SC, Miller Myers and wife Cheri of Pensacola, FL, Morgan Klinglesmith and husband Phillip of Beirut, Lebanon, and Mitchell Myers of Raleigh, NC; and four great grandchildren, Camp Mischner, Sally Mischner and Reagan Myers, and Evelyn Myers.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27th, 2022, Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. at the chapel following visitation, conducted by The Rev. Matthew K. Johnson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, online at www.stjude.org/memorial or to the charity of one's choice.

I remember Sarah as being a sweet and gracious lady Mr Gombert would bring home all the ladies from the office for lunch once in a while.She would prepare a nice lunch for us and treated us like family.Todd I'm very sorry for your and your family s loss.
