Sara Ruth Liptow (nee Meyer), age 62, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Maplecrest Manor in Ripon, WI.
She was born on October 2, 1961 in Ripon, WI to Alton and Ruth (Humbright) Meyer. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1980. She was a member of the Three Hilltoppers 4-H Club and taught Sunday School at Grace Lutheran Church where she was a life member. Sara was employed at Action Printing/Gannett in Fond du Lac, WI and had been there for over 30 years. Sara married Ronald Liptow on May 20, 1995 in Grace Lutheran Church of Ripon, WI.
Sara loved cooking and baking, particularly making cut-out cookies for all the holidays. Sara and Ron enjoyed traveling to Florida several times, attending NASCAR and drag races, and taking a cruise to Alaska together. They attended many horse show competitions to watch their granddaughter, Kai, and enjoyed many visits to see their nephew, Patrick, while he attended college.
Sara is survived by her husband, Ron; sister, Jane (Patrick) Disterhaft, Fond du Lac, WI; nephew, Patrick Disterhaft Jr, Scottsdale, AZ; step-son, Chad (Jill) Liptow, Ripon, WI; step-daughter, Kirstin (Tom) Gregor, Ripon, WI; granddaughter, Kai Liptow, Wauwatosa, WI; aunt, Dorraine Heitmann, Watsontown, PA. She is further survived by many relatives and friends. Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Alton (Ruth) Meyer; her grandparents, Lawrence (Elva) Humbright and John (Dora) Meyer.
Visitation for Sara will be held from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr, Ripon, WI 54971, then again on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI, 54971.
A funeral service for Sara will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Rev. Bruce Falksen officiating. You may view a livestream of Sara’s service at 11:00 am by visiting Grace Lutheran Livestream. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at ThedaCare Berlin Oncology Department, ThedaCare Hospice for their compassionate support and care in her final months. They would also like to thank the staff at Maplecrest Manor for their dedication to her care. Special thanks to all family and friends who have visited, called, and prayed for Sara.
