Sara M. Postelnek

Sara Postelnek passed away peacefully on Saturday March 28, at age 78. She is predeceased by her parents Mac and May Postelnek.

Sara is survived by her cousins Karen (Ron) Newman, Lynne (Ed) Zwick, Mark Postelnek, and special friend Stan Neskoda.

Sara was born in 1947 in New York City and she grew up in Elmont, NY.

Sara was very proud of her Jewish Heritage. Jewish Religion and Culture were very important to her.

Sara was deeply devoted to both family and friends. She adored her cousins Amy and Josh and their children Ethan, Penny, Daniel and Miriam. She often retailed stories of their childhoods recalling with fondness intricate details of what they said and did.

Sara loved children, she wrote beautiful poetry and she enjoyed music and dance. She even danced enthusiastically with a walker during her time in assisted living.

She was a true people person, very outgoing and friendly Sara reached out with true warmth and care to those around her.

Sara added a beautiful light to the world. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

May her memory be for a blessing.
