Sara M. Quinby

Sara M. Quinby, 83, of Bear, Delaware passed away on February 2, 2026 at Christiana Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Mercer and her son Mercer Quinby IV. Sara was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and they moved to Bear, De. in 1999. They owned their business Happy Glass and traveled extensively throughout the country until 2019. Sara is a Past Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of Delaware Order of the Eastern Star 2017- 2018; a Past Matron of Signet Chapter #129 , O.E.S. in Philadelphia, Pa.; a Past Matron of Naomi Chapter #20, O.E.S. which merged with Caesar Rodney Chapter # 8 , O.E.S. of New Castle, De. of which she is a member and a member of Amaranth Court #86 of Philadelphia, Pa.

She is a member of Christ the Cornerstone Church in Bear, De.

Services will be held Thursday, February 5th at Christ the Cornerstone Church, 3135 Summit Bridge Road, Bear, Delaware. Visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm with an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 8:00 followed by her Church Service. Burial will be private on Friday at Media Cemetery, Media , Pa.
