She was born in Amsterdam, NY, on March 13, 1929, daughter of the late John and Christine (Beaton) Scott.
Sally was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She had a wide circle of longtime friends in Boxford, Topsfield and in Naples, Florida where she wintered for many years. An avid reader, she was a devoted patron of libraries through her entire life. She also enjoyed tennis, knitting and travelled widely through Europe and the United States.
She is survived by her sons, Andrew Blumenfeld, wife, Mary Jo of Gambrills, MD, and Alex Blumenfeld, wife, Heather, of Eliot, ME; grandchildren, Audrey, Isabella, Rory, Samson, and Peter Blumenfeld; and several nieces. She was predeceased by her son, Peter Blumenfeld, her brother Robert Scott and her sister Elizabeth (Scott) Blase.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, at 11 a.m., at F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, MA, burial will follow at Boxford Village Cemetery.
