Sarah Claunch Obituary
Sarah moved to Frisco in 1972 and proudly graduated with the Frisco High School Class of 1974. As a single mother, she returned to college and earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan School of Law in 1998. She spent the past 27 years practicing law, focusing primarily on real estate. To her family and friends, she was the person they turned to for counsel-always ready to help, always willing to listen.
Sarah was a devoted member of Hope Fellowship Church, where she served as a greeter, sharing her big smile and warm hugs. She loved Jesus, and she loved her church community. One of her favorite sayings was, "I know who I am, I know who I serve, and I know where I am going." And we know where she is.
Her greatest joy in life was being "Nan" to her three grandchildren: Warren, Eleanor, and Eli.
Sarah will be remembered by her children, Allison Claunch of Frisco, Texas, and Philip Claunch Jr. and wife Sarah of Collinsville, Texas; her grandchildren, Warren Claunch, Eleanor Claunch, and Eli Wait; her brother Jim Meador and wife Wanda of Kerrville, Texas; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Cordelia Teddlie, and the love of her life, her husband, Philip Claunch Sr.
The family will welcome guests for visitation on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Dr, Frisco, TX 75033. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 3 PM at Hope Fellowship Church East Campus, 9950 Rolater Rd, Frisco, TX 75035.
As a tribute to her bravery, the family welcomes guests to wear a pop of pink to honor her life and her battle with breast cancer.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Sarah Claunch to the Frisco Education Foundation, where she proudly served on the board for many years and was passionate about supporting education.
