Sarah E. Fox, 95, of Coplay, PA passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Bethlehem North Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Bethlehem, PA. Born April 18, 1930 in Coplay, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dr. William F. Fox, Sr. and Grace (Long) Fox of Longswamp Township, PA.
Sarah was a 1948 graduate of Coplay High School who continued her education and graduated with a nursing degree from the Reading Hospital School Of Nursing. Sarah devoted 44 years to her career as a Registered Nursing Supervisor, caring for patients from all over the Lehigh Valley and training many young nurses who remember her as “Foxy.” She retired from both Sacred Heart Hospital and Cedarbrook Fountain Hill Annex in 1995, and dearly enjoyed reunions with her former colleagues up until the time of her passing. Sarah was a lifetime member of the former Trinity United Church of Christ, Coplay, PA, and an active member in the community.
Sarah loved driving in the country and was knowledgeable about the stories and historical significance of every road, family home, and parcel of land in the area. She enjoyed arts and entertainment, browsing the handmade goods at local craft fairs, sharing time with friends at the casinos, and always held a soft spot for dogs.
Survivors: Sarah is survived by her nieces: Stacy, wife of Dean Beichey, Northampton, PA; Robin Sieger, Palmetto, FL; Carol Sommers, Whitehall, PA; and Christine, wife of Bruce Parola, Moscow, PA; as well as great-nieces and -nephews, with whom she kept up with faithfully. She was predeceased by sister Doris A., wife of Lee Sieger; brother William F. Fox, Jr. and wife Rosemarie; and brother James F. Fox.
