Sarah Gibson Obituary

Sarah Elizabeth Gibson (nee Zolecki)
Sarah Elizabeth Gibson passed away peacefully at the age of 44, on Friday, April 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Sarah was born on November 10, 1980, the daughter of Edward A. and Lucinda L. (nee Tank) Zolecki. A lifelong Joliet resident, she was a graduate of St. Patrick's Grade School, Joliet Catholic Academy, and the University of St. Francis.
Sarah's approachable demeanor and genuine care for others made her a cherished presence in the lives of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, her joyful soul, and the way she made those around her feel valued and appreciated.
Known for her warm and friendly nature, Sarah could light up a room with her beautiful smile and her sense of humor. Her loving heart and kind spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She had a unique way of connecting with people and made friends wherever she went. Sarah had a passion for collecting postcards, always asking loved ones to bring one back from their travels to add to her growing collection. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee, watching General Hospital, and tuning into her favorite programs on the Game Show Network.
Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Thomas Gibson, Jr.; daughters, Kaitlyn and Addison Gibson; her mother, Cindy Zolecki; brother, Matthew (fiancé Brooke Fosnaugh) Zolecki; and godmother, Sharon Yack. Also surviving are her many in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by numerous relatives, including her father, Edward A. Zolecki, Jr.

My heart goes out to Sarah´s family and friends I had the pleasure of knowing this incredible woman. She was a co-worker, a friend, and like family since she is my best friend´s cousin. I will always remember her ability to make everyone laugh, her kindness, her love for game shows, and her strength. Heaven has truly gained an angel
