Pre-deceased by brother George MondelloSarah was born in Warwick, New York and was a graduate of Warwick High School.
For a time she owned and operated the Pioneer Restaurant in Warwick. She was proud to welcome local soldiers back from Vietnam with a job if they needed one.In 1978 she met Jim Hulsizer and began a 46 year adventure that would take them to St. Croix in the US Virgin Island, Poughkeepsie NY, Key West Florida and finally Melbourne, Fl where they settled in 1999. Sarah enjoyed gardening, running (half marathons), baking, cooking, scuba diving, reading and life in general.In her working life she was in food service most of her life. Most recently she worked at Charlie & Jakes in Suntree as day bartender for 17 years before retiring in 2017. Besides her husband – the love of her life was her 5 rescue dogs that enjoyed their lives with her over the course of her marriage. Sarah was blessed with many friends near and far. People were drawn to her personality and enjoyed her friendship and she theirs.Services will be private.
