Sarah Ruth McAfee

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sarah Ruth McAfee, who left this world on March 6, 2025. Born on November 4, 1989, Sarah lived a life filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering belief in the goodness of people. Sarah was saved at a young age on November 16, 2002, and was a member of Cedar Fork Baptist Church. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, shaping the love and compassion she shared with those around her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Melanie Davis.
Sarah leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of her father, Paul McAfee, and stepmother, Sheila Cooper; her brothers, Derrick Davis, Lucas McAfee, and Nicholas McAfee; her longtime partner, John Dyer; and her beloved children, Zoe, Jaxon, Abby Dyer, and Dakota Raines. She will also be deeply missed by her grandparents, Dorothy "Doda'' Love (Jerry) and Mike Ickes; her cousin and close confidante, Tabitha "Tab Tab" Graves; her special friend, John Wolfenbarger; and a host of other cherished family members and friends.
Sarah was a free spirit who never met a stranger-her heart was open to everyone, and her warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She adored her children above all else and embraced life with a glass-half-full outlook, always finding the beauty in every moment.
Though her time with us was far too short, Sarah's love, laughter, and boundless spirit will continue to live on in the lives of those she touched. Her memory will be cherished forever. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
