Sarah Struthers Obituary
Born on July 13, 1964, in Frankfurt, Germany, Sarah was the beloved wife of Joseph Struthers for 42 years. Together, they built a life centered on faith, love, and family, raising five beautiful children: Aubry Borg and her children Kacelynn, Kyler, and Kaylee; Bradley and Ashleigh Struthers; Rebecca and Andrew Lauderdale and their children Myles and Brynlee; David Struthers; and Melissa Struthers.
Sarah's life was a living example of Proverbs 31: "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." She was known for her servant's heart-whether teaching her children about the love of Jesus, caring for her grandchildren, serving in her church, or offering a warm welcome to anyone who entered her home. Her unwavering faith, compassion, and gentle spirit touched countless lives.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph; her parents, Carl and Geri Martin; her five children; her five treasured grandchildren; and her siblings, John Martin, Nancy Maine, Carl Martin, and Will Martin. She is also cherished by many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Sarah was laid to rest on August 9, 2025, in a private family burial. Two celebrations of her life will be held in the coming months:
The first will take place near Sarah's most recent home, giving local friends and loved ones an opportunity to gather in her honor. This service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Central Time on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Crossroads Community Church, 204 4th Street, Bovina, TX 79009.
The second celebration will be held near Sarah's hometown in Oregon, at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the JL Ranch, 7502 E Evan's Cr Rd, Rogue River, OR 97537.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites contributions to the Martin Family Burial Ground, in honor of Sarah's legacy, her deep love for her family ranch, and the peace and joy she found there. Contributions may be mailed to 7502 E Evans Creek Rd., Rogue River, OR 97537, or sent via Venmo to Melinda-Martin-37 (phone 541-979-1070).
The family finds comfort in knowing that Sarah is now rejoicing in the presence of her Savior, and they look forward to the day they will be reunited in Heaven.

My deepest sympathy for Joe and all the children. Sarah has left an honored legacy of faith and the kindest love. What a blessing to praise the Lord for her life! She was one of the first beautiful women I met when I moved to Clovis in 1999; we participated in the homeschool co-op with her family and she was a friend to me. She will be so missed!

Sarah was an inspiration to those who were fortunate to have known her. Her smile would warm a room and her laughter hung in the air like an unforgettable fragrance. I am so saddened to hear of Sarah's death. We homeschooled our children together in a Clovis area co-op. She was one of the ones who helped me in choosing curriculum when I first homeschooled our oldest daughter. She was a sweet soul.
