Sarah Stuart, of Cosby, passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2025, at the age of 79.
Born on August 20, 1945, Sarah lived a life rich in love, faith, and devotion to her family and
friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, numerous brothers and sisters, husband Griffin, and her beloved children Marcie Ann, Anthony Scott, and Travis Wade.
Sarah is survived by her devoted sisters Betty Williams and Laura May ("Tootie") Breeden; her brother Phillip ("Chip") Bryant; and her loving sons Doug, Griffin (Charlene), and Zane Stuart; grandchildren she raised as her own Madyson, Dougie, Spenser, and Allyson. She was a proud and doting grandmother to Alicia, Samantha, Jordan, Tristan, Luke, Brooklyn, Blake, and Chad. Sarah also leaves a lasting legacy through her cherished great-grandchildren: Rhett, River, Reid, Ridge, Chloe, Xander, Gage, Jayce, Brantley, Annelyse, Evan, Lily, Cami, Emerson, and Gatlin. Sarah was a second mother to many, always ready to offer a comforting word or lend a hand. She was a woman of deep faith who shared the love of Jesus with all who crossed her path. Through her life, she showed the true meaning of grace, compassion, and unwavering strength. Her example will continue to guide and inspire those who loved her. Friends and family may gather at Allen's Missionary Baptist Church from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at Allen's Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Duran Williams officiating.

Sarah (Suri) was so much more than my old Sunday school teacher. She was a faithful servant, She had the gift of translation. God flowed so beautifully through her.

Our families have been intertwined for what seems like the beginning of time and she always felt like family to me. She will be so dearly missed.
