Sarah Rose Vaughan, 45, of Homerville passed away Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025, at Langdale Hospice in Valdosta after an extended illness. She was born in Yerington, Nevada to Robert Eugene Vaughan and Yvonne Bonnie Pyatt Vaughan. Ms. Vaughan lived in Hawthorne, NV for many years where she was the church secretary at the family’s home church, First Southern Baptist Church, for twelve years. She moved to Homerville in 2014 and has served as the Manager of the Clinch County Public Library for the last seven years. Ms. Vaughan was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Homerville. She loved to read and especially spending time with family and playing board games.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Eugene Vaughan; maternal grandparents, Leonard and Bertha Pyatt; paternal grandparents, Milton and Chrystal Vaughan.
Survivors include her mother, Yvonne Bonnie Pyatt Vaughan of Homerville; one brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Penny Vaughan of Homerville; one sister, Patti Vaughan of Homerville; one niece, Carly Rodriguez (Easton) of Homerville; two nephews, Drew Vaughan of Homerville and Brandon Edison of Yerington, NV.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
