NEW MADISON -- Saundra "Sandy" Lee Gary, age 78 of New Madison, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 17, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Mary and Emmett Earich.
In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by her sister, Pam Houck; brother, Robert Earich; granddaughters, Melanie Grace Cox and Allison Lee Gary; niece, Missy Harrison; sister-in-law, Debbie Gary; and brother-in-law, Joe Hunt.
Those left to cherish Sandy's memory include her loving husband of 47 years, Fred Gary of New Madison; children, Randy (Sandy) Cox of New Madison, Doug (Angie) Cox of Greenville, Mindy (Ron) Buhrman of Arcanum, Barb (Gary) Baker of Greenville, and Nathan (Lora) Gary of Sidney; brother, Richard (Denise) Earich of West Carrollton; sister, Cheryl (Rod) Rucker of Oxford; brothers-in-law, Jim Houck of Farmersville, Ron Gary of Richmond, IN, and Ben (Joan) Gary of New Madison; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Hunt of New Madison and Chrea Arriola of New Lebanon; and 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandy worked 24 years as an office manager at Anthony Wayne. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, and cross stitch. She was a den mother for her son's cub scouts for many years. Sandy belonged to the New Madison Fire Bell's and the village council as a member and the mayor at a point in time.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM- 5:30 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Tribute Funeral Homes, New Madison.
A celebration of Sandys Life will be held following the visitation at 5:30 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Fee officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Everheart Hospice.
