Saundra Kaye (Harshbarger) Hutchins was called to be with her Lord & Savior on Monday, September 1, 2025. Born on September 24, 1966, Saundra entered this world two minutes before her twin, Rhonda Harshbarger. From then on, she proclaimed herself to be the "big" sister.
Saundra had a big personality. She knew who she was and what she wanted in life. She was direct, strong willed, had a great work ethic and inherited an entrepreneurial spirit from her parents.
As a child she played with her sister Rhonda and other neighborhood friends. They would play "Store", "Office", and later she was an integral member of "Charlie's Angels" always playing the Jaclyn Smith role.
She graduated from Cabot High School in 1985. Later, Saundra married the love of her life and best friend, Robert Hutchins on February 23, 1990. They had over 35 years of marriage. Together they built a beautiful life and had one son, Cory Hutchins.
Saundra spread her entrepreneurial wings and opened her own sign shop, Cabot Sign and Banner. With the continued support of her loving husband, she also had a kettle corn business called Pop Goes the Kernel. She loved to go to various festivals around the state of Arkansas and would also set up at the Cabot Farmer's Market and at the Outlets of Little Rock each holiday season. Eventually she decided to stay local and worked in the cafeteria at Cabot Westside School until she retired.
Her son Cory was her pride and joy only to be usurped by his daughter, Saundra's granddaughter, Evielyn Hutchins. Saundra absolutely loved being a NeNe to Evie. She adored her granddaughter. Her love for family was fierce and the enormous joy Evie brought her was priceless.
Saundra loved her church family and loved her Lord more. She often sang during service and was much sought after to sing at memorial services which brought much comfort to many families. Her faith in God was strong and she knew where she would be going when God called her home.
Saundra had a great sense of humor. She laughed easily and heartily; sometimes at your expense and often at her own. She loved a good joke or prank. She also loved the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mowing her lawn on her riding mower. Summer was her favorite time of year.
She was a fire cracker! She was passionate. She loved hard and honestly. This world will be dimmer without her light but her memory will always burn bright in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Saundra is preceded in death by her parents H.L "Bud" and Mary (Parks) Harshbarger of Cabot, Arkansas.
She is survived by her husband Robert R. Hutchins, son Cory Hutchins of Cabot, sister Rhonda Harshbarger of Austin, sister Judy Cordell of Carlisle, and granddaughter Evielyn Hutchins of Cabot, her mother and father-in-law Donita and Sammie Hutchins as well as her nieces, nephew and many friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 6 as follows:

Visitation with family will be at 10:00 – 11:00AM.
