Saundra Tappmeyer, 86 of Springfield, MO passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024 at Elfindale Manor in Springfield.
Saundra was born June 19, 1937, to Everett and Pauline Delo of Springfield.
Saundra married her high school sweetheart Tom while they were attending college at Southwest Missouri State (now MSU) and were married 63 years until his passing in 2020. Together, they were involved in hosting many fundraisers and community events that included MSU Bears Foundation, The Boys and Girls Club of Springfield and Good Samaritan Boys Ranch to name a few. They were also long-time members of Twin Oaks Country Club.
Saundra enjoyed entertaining, traveling, golfing, playing cards and a spirited round of Mahjong, (as long as the stakes weren't too high).
Saundra was a beloved wife, loving mother, proud grand and great grandmother. In addition to her family, she leaves behind many lifelong friends and will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her son Greg Tappmeyer (Mary), daughter Becky White (Bill) grandson James Tappmeyer all of Springfield, MO and granddaughter, Callie Quinones (Tim) and great grandson Meyer of Cumming, GA.
Her wishes were for no service and in lieu of flowers; the family asks that contributions be made in Saundra's name to Harmony House Springfield, MO.
The family would love for all who knew Saundra to share their condolences and memories online at www.gormanscharpf.com
