Schyler Oldham Obituary
Schyler Roy Oldham, age 18 of Upton, passed away on September 25, 2025 in Hart County, Kentucky. Schyler was saved in March of 2020 at the age of 12 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where he loved to serve his Lord as a member of the church. Schyler was a part of the HCHS Cheerleading Squad and the HCHS Football Team, and he was employed at DNA Auto Solutions and Upton Eats.
Schyler enjoyed fishing, working, playing his guitar, doing anything he could get his hands on, and spending time with friends and family. He loved everyone he came into contact with, and he never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face and wanted to make people laugh. Everyone that knew him, loved him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roy Smith; paternal grandparents, Debbie and Terry Oldham; and his paternal great-grandparents, George and Jane Highbaugh.
He is survived by his loving parents, Trenton and Tammy Oldham (Upton, KY); his sisters, Marie and Ruby Oldham (Upton, KY); his grandma, Carol Smith (Clarkson, KY); his aunt, Tonya Cockerel and her husband, John (Leitchfield, KY); his uncle, Brandon Oldham (Upton, KY); his cousin, Lillian Cockerel (Leitchfield, KY); and several other friends and family members also survive.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 1:00 - 8:00 PM CST at Brooks Funeral Home with a Service of Remembrance beginning at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST at Brooks Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Day officiating. Burial will follow at Millerstown Cemetery.
Donations may be made for his family in honor of Schyler's memory to Brooks Funeral Home.
