Not sure what to say?

I had Professor Pott as my ASL 2-3 instructor. He taught me and my classmates so much about the deaf community, and opened a new world of communication to us. I will forever be grateful that he shared his knowledge with us, his students, for the little bit of time we had with him. Thank you, Professor. UH won´t be the same without you.

My daughter was a student of Dr. Pott at UH. She came home last night, for the summer, and tonight she told us of his passing. Our deepest condolences for your loss.

I am so sad that he has passed. I know he is in a better place resting peacefully. Dr. Pott had such an amazing impact on the Deaf community and teaching students at UH American Sign Language. He had such a kind heart with a spirit of gold filled with humor. I always felt accepted and understood. Rest in peace to the fun loving joke telling and amazing teacher Dr. Scot Allen Pott. I will never forget anything that you taught me.

This man was such a wonderful man in the deaf community. Yes he was a tough teacher but he made you feel passionate about the language. I had him for Asl 2 & 3 at University of Houston. He will be well missed and I’ll never forget him. May he Rest In Peace.

My heart is broken upon hearing Scot has passed away. I loved him very much as a wonderful student of mine. He was brilliant, funny, and endearing. He also a leader in our classroom that we could always depend on. Scott will be very missed. Condolences and Blessings to his family and friends. In Christ, Dianne Houghtaling

Scot. You showed yourself to be a dedicated servant to the deaf community. You will forever be known as the “guy” who is pick on details and make sure everything falls in place. Texas Association for the Deaf is forever grateful for the service you gave while as board Vice President. May you Rest In Peace Scot!

I truly do not know what to do without you now... but I know you are watching and encouraging us to be positive and enjoy the life. If it was not TAD, I would never had opportunity to meet you..

Good memories..

I knew Scot way back in 1990 when we were on a committee together. I was impressed by his intelligence and sense of humor. Our paths met again when he was Vice President of TAD. He was my mentor and taught me lots about Legislative issues. He passed the mantle to me as I am Vice President. I intend on carrying on the work in honor of Scot. Fly free. U will be missed by many.
