We come together to celebrate the life of Scott Allen Brewer, a cherished father, brother, uncle, and grandfather, who passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024, in his hometown of Michigan City, Indiana. Born on December 5, 1961, to the late Charles Brewer and Norma Jean Kranke, Scott's journey came full circle as he departed in the same city that welcomed him into the world.
His early years were marked by a vibrant athletic enthusiasm, as he earned the nickname "Hot Scott" while playing basketball for Elston High School's Red Devils. This moniker was a testament to his fiery presence on the court and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him.
Scott's dedication to his community was evident through his career as a pipefitter with the local union. His commitment to craftsmanship and camaraderie among his colleagues was deeply respected.
While his professional accomplishments were many, Scott's true pride lay in his role as a father. He is survived by his two daughters, Brittany Brewer of Michigan City, Indiana, and Kortney Bradshaw of Las Vegas, Nevada. His love for his daughters knew no bounds, and he endeavored to be the best dad he could be.
In addition to his daughters, Scott's legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Lylian Beck, Laila Walters, and Scarlett Gracie Hawkins. His brother, Gregory Brewer of Bullhead, Arizona, will carry forward the memories of their brotherly bonds, while his nieces, Amanda Simmons of Arizona, Kristen Tyree of Chicago, and Marianne Lynch of LaPorte, as well as his great-nieces Rayvin Simmons, Skyler Norris and Nevaeh Norris, and great-nephews Jazper Simmons, and baby Alika Lynch, will remember their uncle with love and fondness.
Scott's presence was larger than life itself. He was often referred to as the life of the party, a man who brought light and laughter wherever he went. His charm and charisma were undeniable, and his ability to make everyone feel included and important was one of his most remarkable qualities.
He was preceded in death by his beloved his sister Kimberly Brewer and several family members and friends way too soon, Scott's memory will continue to be a beacon of joy for all who knew him.
