Scott Caldwell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Martin & Hightower Funeral Home - Carrollton on Mar. 20, 2026.
Scott Caldwell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on February 16, 1962, in Carrollton, Georgia, Scott was a lifelong resident of the community he loved dearly. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and a profound appreciation for life.

A skilled electrician, Scott dedicated 26.5 years of his career serving at Tanner Medical Center before becoming a valued team member at the Georgia World Congress Center. His unyielding work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in everything he did, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Scott was not only known for his professional accomplishments but also for his vibrant spirit outside of work. He embraced the great outdoors with a passion for camping, where he found joy and tranquility amidst nature. Scott loved music, especially live music, and rarely passed up the chance to attend a concert. He was also a sports enthusiast who enjoyed baseball, basketball, football, and NASCAR, and he loved cheering on teams at every level, from local high schools to the pros.

Scott is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Bobbie Shead Caldwell, who stood by him through all of life's seasons, and their son, William Blake Caldwell. He will be lovingly remembered by his granddaughter, Blakely Caldwell, who brought immense joy to his life.

He is also survived by his sister, Sheri Caldwell Connor; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Scott and Shannon Shead; and his nieces and nephews, Brandy Wade (Edward), Ken Smith, Will Shead, and Audrey Shead, along with extended family and friends who will remember him for his steady presence and kind nature.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Manard "Snook" Caldwell and Evelyn Caldwell; his brother-in-law, Ben Connor; his father-in-law, Bobby Shead; his mother-in-law, Nancy Shead; and his niece, Chrissy Smith.

A funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate Scott's life on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Church of Carrollton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.

As we reflect on Scott's life, we remember a man who worked diligently, loved deeply, and cherished everyday moments.
