Scott Francis Charnley, of Brainerd, MN, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026 at Homestead Nursing Home in Deer River, MN.

Scott was born on June 22, 1962, the eldest child of Francis (Mick) and Bev (Bowers) Charnley. He was raised and attended school in Grand Rapids, graduating in 1980. He worked various jobs in the area before moving to Brainerd in the 1990's.

Scott was an avid music lover, playing bass in several local bands. He felt most at ease while playing his guitar, fishing, looking for the perfect rock, hunting with his dad and friends, and being with family. He was a fantastic brother to his sisters, a rockstar uncle, and a loving son to his parents.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Mick and Bev. He is survived by his sisters, Lynne Chapman, and Deb (Ben) Wallene, both of Grand Rapids, MN; and nephew, Kenny Charnley of Bellevue, WA. He also leaves behind several cousins, aunts and close friends.

Scott was a great man and would do anything to help people. His quick-witted humor generated a lot of laughter in his lifetime. He will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held at Rowe Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM and lasting until the 11:00 AM funeral service. Burial will be at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery.
